Three Minute Thesis Competition

You are invited to participate in the School of Medicine’s upcoming Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition. The competition is open to any SOM student who has been admitted to candidacy, and the winner of SOM’s 3MT will go on to compete in the university-wide 3MT. Below you will find more information, including all relevant dates, and the link to register (you must register to participate). Important dates:

  • Registration deadline: February 29th

  • University-run 3MT Info Session: March 5th, 12:00-1:00pm, register here: https://calendar.pitt.edu/event/three_minute_thesis_speaking_to_non-specialists_8345#.Xkv7dSNOmUk

  • SOM 3MT Practice Session: March 16th, 2:00-3:30pm (the exact end time will depend on the final number of participants), Montefiore LHAS Auditorium

  • SOM 3MT Competition (open to the SOM community): March 27th, 2:00-3:00pm (the exact end time will depend on the final number of participants), Montefiore LHAS Auditorium

  • University-wide 3MT Competition: April 6th, 12:00-1:00pm, Hillman Library, Digital Scholarship Commons
